Terrance Flores
Terrance Flores is a self-taught, second-generation El Paso artist. His artwork is often described as contemporary with a twist of impressionism. Flores’ artwork depicts the Southwest region, including the vegetation, animals, and recognizable landmarks. His artwork is characterized by his bold, velvety brush strokes and soft colors. A carpenter by trade, he now utilizes his graphic design background to conjure Post-Impressionist-inspired pieces with a Borderplex twist. He uses oils and paints on vintage panels such as boards or various appliances. His multi-dimensional approach involving the layering of colors exemplifies movement, perspective, and texture throughout his self-proclaimed graphic-contemporary artwork. Many viewers are drawn to his use of colors and bold brushstrokes.
